Description of COVID Alert South Africa
COVID Alert South Africa is a COVID-19 tracking app for South Africa. The government of this African country has decided to use tracking API to control the spread of the virus. This app aims to use technology to help areas of the continent that are most affected by the pandemic.
COVID Alert South Africa is easy-to-use and is similar to other tracking apps such as Radar COVID. The app generates alphanumeric code that your smartphone exchanges with other devices using short-range Bluetooth technology. This anonymous information is stored for fourteen days so the app can notify you if you are were contact with an infected person for more than 15 minutes.
It's important to note that the information is managed anonymously, and your identity is never revealed to other users. On top of that, these apps need to be installed by at least 60% of the population to be effective.
COVID Alert South Africa is an app that notifies South African residents if they have recently been in contact with someone infected with the Coronavirus. Without a doubt, it's a very practical app to track exponentially more cases.
